I hope that after reading this you will be ready to tackle your weight loss goal.

Myth #1: Losing Weight Is Difficult

loosing weight, rapid weight loss, rapid weight loss,

This might be the biggest myth of all! It drives me crazy when I see an advertisement for a weight loss pill and they talk about how hard it is to lose weight. Losing weight is not that hard at all if you have the right mindset. Losing 40 pounds was the easiest thing I've ever done. The hard part was eating like a pig for years until I was 40 pounds overweight. Most probably the only reason you are overweight is because you have conditioned yourself to repeat unhealthy habits. And once you start following healthy habits which is really easy you will see how easy it is to lose weight. So don't let those people on TV and on the Internet tell you how hard it is to lose weight and that you have to take their pill to lose weight.

Myth #2: No Pain, No Gain

Alright, when it comes to working out I always here my friends say "No Pain, No Gain." Let me tell you right now that the only time this is true is the professional body builders who bulk up more than necessary. But if you are running on the treadmill or elliptical machine to burn some calories this is not true. When you over exert yourself during exercise you start going from an aerobic exercise to burn fat into an anaerobic exercise, which lowers your blood sugar level and makes you crave carbohydrates. This is not what you want.

Myth #3: All Calories Are Created Equal

As good as it sounds and as much as you wish this to be true, this just isn't true when it comes to losing weight. The two main things that your weight loss depends on are your metabolism and your blood sugar level. I hate to tell you this but your grandmother was right when she told you not to eat to many sweets. Sugars cause your blood sugar level to go up and this causes you to store fat in your body. So when you're out there buying food at the grocery store, look at the glycemic index of your food and this will help you manage your blood sugar level.

Myth #4: You Can Eat Whatever You Want and Still Lose Weight

Um.... sorry. Keep hoping and wishing that this is true, but it's just not. Even if you exercise and eat like a pig, then you're not going to lose weight. You might be able to maintain it but you might end up gaining weight. The only way to lose weight is when your calorie intake is less than the amount of calories you burn off. Also, you have to make sure that you are not taking too much carbs and sugar because they can store fat and that is something that you don't want. You should follow a healthy diet and exercise plan.

Myth #5: Counting Calories Is Important

Ok, I want you to do something now. The next time you see somebody with that perfect body that you want; go up to them and ask them if they count or even know how many calories they are taking very day. I will bet you good money that they are going to say "No." Do you know why they will say no? That's because people that are physically fit have a healthy lifestyle, which should be your goal. Being healthy is part of their identity and you should try as much as possible to make it part of yours to be successful in your weight loss goal and to keep it off.

Now you know about the 5 most common myths that are stopping you from reaching you your weight loss goal. Part 2 of this article will have 5 more common myths uncovered. Make sure that you check out best healthy diet and exercise programs.
